Overview

You can allow Managira to generate student IDs automatically or define your own format with a prefix, starting number, and padded sequence.

Setting up the format

  1. Open School Settings → Student ID.
  2. Enable custom student IDs if your school wants its own format.
  3. Enter an optional prefix and choose the starting number.
  4. Save and review the preview format before creating the next student.

Auto-generation logic

When auto-generation is enabled, Managira uses the configured prefix and sequence rules to create the next student ID at the point the student record is created or approved.

Manual override

Staff can still type a manual student ID when editing or creating a student, but duplicate IDs within the same organisation are blocked.

Warning: Changing the format does not rename existing student IDs. Only new records use the updated format.
